We started on Monday morning with a whole school assembly, thinking about ‘words’- spoken and written and about a variety of associated careers.  From song writers and authors to doctors and sign writers, lots of careers have been considered. 

On Monday, we welcomed two visitors from the library service who talked to each class about their roles. On Tuesday, the story of Mr Wolf’s Pancakes inspired a pancake tossing competition with Mrs Altoft, Mr Mallison, Mrs Atkinson and Ms Tomlinson participating. The determination of Mrs Atkinson was clear to see and we crowned her the pancake champion of 2019!
