PE Funding

The P.E. and sport premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the P.E. and sport activities they offer their pupils.

At Brandesburton Primary School, we believe that Physical Education (PE) plays a vital role in every child’s development – physically, socially, and emotionally. PE is not just about fitness; it is about building confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong love of being active.

We are proud of the exceptional sporting talent across our school. Our children show great enthusiasm, skill, and determination in a wide range of sports and physical activities. Just as importantly, they display strong values: sportsmanship, encouragement, perseverance, and a willingness to include and support others.

This success is supported by the wonderfully committed families in our community. Their encouragement, involvement, and pride in their children’s achievements create a culture where PE and sport are celebrated and valued by all.

We use our funding in many ways, for example:

  • To support and enhance PE provision, Brandesburton receives the PE and Sport Premium Funding, which is used to:

    • Enhance the quality of PE teaching through staff training and expert coaching.
    • Provide a wider range of sports and clubs, ensuring all children find activities they enjoy.
    • Invest in high-quality equipment and resources to make lessons engaging and inclusive.
    • Increase opportunities for competitive sport, both within school and with other schools.
    • Promote physical activity across the school day, including active playtimes and movement breaks.

We ensure this funding has a lasting impact by focusing on sustainable improvements that benefit all pupils now and in the future.

A school where every child can shine

At Brandesburton, PE is more than a subject – it’s part of who we are. Whether it’s on the football pitch, in a dance lesson, during a gymnastics routine, or in a fun run for charity, our children learn what it means to be active, healthy, and part of a team.

With talented pupils, supportive families, and dedicated staff, we are building a culture where every child can shine – in sport, in school, and in life.
