Careers Week

Career Week

Primary School Career Week is an exciting opportunity for pupils to learn about different jobs and explore the wide range of careers available to them in the future. During the week, children can meet visitors from different professions, take part in fun activities, dress up as what they would like to be when they grow up, and learn about the skills and qualities needed for different jobs. From doctors and teachers to firefighters, chefs and engineers, pupils can discover how each career helps the community. Career Week encourages children to dream big, build their confidence and understand the importance of teamwork, hard work and learning. It is a fun and inspiring way to help pupils think about their future and realise that they can achieve their goals.

Career Week 2026

During Careers Week, our pupils had an exciting opportunity to explore the world of writing and the performing arts. The school proudly took part in a Writing Competition at Wassand Hall, encouraging children to develop their creativity, imagination and storytelling skills. Pupils also enjoyed learning about how an opera is staged, discovering the many different roles involved in bringing a production to life, from writers and performers to costume designers, set builders, lighting technicians and stage managers. These enriching experiences helped children understand the wide range of careers available within the arts and the importance of teamwork, communication and creativity. The activities inspired pupils to explore their interests, develop new skills and consider how their talents could lead to exciting opportunities in the future.
